What Is A "Move In Condition"?
1. The building must clearly be marked on the entrance on the building.
2. The apartment number must be the same number that was registered and posted on the door.
3. The apartment must have a working mailbox.
4. The apartment must provide privacy for the family.
5. Vacant - No furniture.
6. All buildings must be decent, safe, and sanitary (including the area immediately outside the building) and varmin free.
7. All rooms must be a minimum of 8' by 10'.
8. Freshly Painted.
9. Floors must either be carpeted, have linoleum or parquet.
10. No cracked or broken windows.
11. One working smoke detector for each floor.
12. Window guards for children, under eleven, must already be installed. If you have window gates there must be at least one avenue of escape.
13. Apartment entrance door must be sound.
Room Requirements
1. All rooms must have a radiator and (a) the bathroom and kitchen can have a full size window, facing the outside working vent in lieu of a window. Airshafts are not acceptible.)
2. All rooms must be hazard free, they must have electrical outlets and a fixture.
3. All plumbing must be in good working condition.
Bathroom Requirements
1. Medicine Cabinets
2. Sinks
3. Bathtub and/or Shower
4. Shower Rod and Towel Rack
5. New Toilet Seat
6. A Door That Closes Properly
Bedroom Requirements
1. Doors that close properly.
Kitchen Requirements
1. Stoves and refrigerators must be clean and in good working condition.
2. There must be kitchen cabinets.
3. A space to prepare food.
4. Sink must be in good condition.
